Durante los meses de marzo y abril, un grupo de alumnos de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad San Jorge de Zaragoza colabora con los alumnos de SDR Sistemas de Representación en la actividad pedagógica CITINET, que tiene como objetivo analizar la ciudades de Zaragoza y Barcelona utilizando la fotografía como instrumento de reflexión y de comunicación. Los alumnos de ambas escuelas llevan a cabo las actividades pedagógicas en el entorno on-line SDR: NET desarrollado por el grupo de investigación ARC Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle. Se trata de la segunda edición de CITINET, un proyecto pedagógico que se inició en el curso 2013/2014.

In March CITINET activities have begun, an educational project; launched from the course of SDR Sistemas De Representación (in English, Systems of Representation); that have as objective to analyze the contemporary city, in a collaborative way with the participation of students of different schools of architecture, through photography. The School of Architecture La Salle, jointly with the School of Architecture of the Universidad de San Jorge (ETSA- USJ), in Zaragoza,; and the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU), Universidade de São Paulo (USP), participate in this first edition.

Students and professors of the three schools will carry out together, a study of the three cities –Zaragoza, São Paulo y Barcelona– using photography as a means of analysis and communication. From the photographs taken by the students, the existing interrelationships among these three cities will be explored, with the goal of finding out what they have in common- the generic- what difference them- its identity.

These pedagogical activities are carried out in the educational environment SDR-NET where students and professors of the participating schools will have access to.

In this vídeo the activities to be performed by the participating schools, and the relationship of CITINET with the work of pedagogical innovation that takes place in the course of SDR Sistemas de Representación (In English, Systems of Representation), are explained.

IMAGE is one of the theme covered by the course of SDR: Sistemas de Representación (In English, Systems of Representation) that is given in the third year of the programme, at the Technical School of Architecture La Salle, Barcelona.

In class, students are introduced to photography– understood as a technique and as a way of analysis and communication-applied to architecture. The theoretical structure follows the line of visual studies, that promotes the interaction among the different areas – art, architecture, communication- through the image.

In the course, pedagogical activities have been focused on the morphological and phenomenological analysis of the urban space through the photographic medium.
