SDR:TEXT Activities 2014-15

The theme TEXT is dedicated to explore the relationships among the issues discussed in contemporary architectural debate and the principles of modern architecture. This confrontation is based on the readings of texts representative of each period. From the analysis of the selected texts, the issues that are common and/or peculiar to each period are identified and discussed. These reflections are conducted in the classroom and in the collaborative learning environment SDR: NET.

The ideas derived from the analysis of the text are explained and communicated by means of essays, posters, animated texts and blogs. These works are performeds using manual and digital techniques. The final results of this collective reflection is presented in the blog ARQPRESS and in an exhibition.

SDR:TEXT Link Concepts 2012-13

Generation of a semantic network. In the SDR: NET environment, every student has related two concepts from a contemporary architecture vocabulary that was created jointly during the course. Subsequently, the concepts and relationships were printed to form a continuous line of relationships. In the assembly process, we could discuss the different interpretations of the concepts, and about the multiple relationships that could be established between them.
