 El 20 de noviembre de 2013 miembros del grupo ARC han presentado en el Col.legi d'Arquitectes de Barcelona el sistema de información energética SEIS, desarrollado en el marco del proyecto REPENER, financiado por el Plan Nacional de Investigación 2010-2013. 

SEMANCO's partners are organising the 4th VoCamp on “Integrating multiple domains and scales”

SEMANCO's partners are organising the 4th VoCamp which will take place on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of February 2014, at the Engineering and Architecture School La Salle Campus, Barcelona, Spain. This VoCamp will focus on the application of ontologies to integrate multiple domains and scales in order to develop models of urban energy systems which help different actors - urban planners, consultants, policy makers, dwellers- to take better informed decisions to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions in urban environments. El grupo ARC Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle en la ICT exhibition 2013; en Vilna, Lituania

El grupo ARC Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle estará presente en un stand de la ICT exhibition 2013 – Create, Connect, Grow que se celebra en Vilna, Lituania, del 6 al 8 de noviembre de 2013. Este evento está organizado por la Comisión Europea en colaboración con la presidencia lituana del Consejo de Europa.  Está prevista la participación en el mismo de más de 5000 investigadores, empresarios y políticos.  ARC presentará el prototipo de la plataforma desarrollada en el proyecto europeo SEMANCO, que permite acceder a datos energéticos distribuidos en múltiples fuentes con el fin de mejorar la eficiencia energética de las ciudades.

OIKOnet

On October 1st 2013 start the activities of OIKOnet, a three-year pedagogic project co-funded by the European Union whose purpose is to create an international platform of collaboration to study contemporary housing from a multidisciplinary and global perspective. A total of 34 organizations from 29 countries in Europe and around the world are part of this network. The project will be coordinated by ARC Architecture and Engineering La Salle. 

OIKOnet is a follow-up of the previous OIKODOMOS Virtual Campus  www.oikodomos.org project which was carried out during 2007-2011 with financial support from the European Union

SEIS A Semantic Energy Information System to integrate building energy data

ARC Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle is pleased to announce the release of the first public version of SEíS, a system which facilitates access to energy information using semantic web technologies. The system has been developed within the research project RÉPENER (BIA-2009-13365) which has been carried out from 2010 to 2013  with the support of the National RDI plan funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The data integrated in SEíS  encompass energy certificates, building descriptions, energy simulations, energy performance monitoring, and climate data.  SEíS  provides qualified information to different agents –such as public administrations, architectural or engineering firms, energy consultants and energy service company (ESCO) –  to enable them to improve their decision-making process through the different stages of the building lifecycle –from design to construction and refurbishment.  Users can retrieve and upload data in interaction with the system and can use the available services to access the data they need. 

Jornadas Cientificas sobre Arquitectura, Educacion y Sociedad

Dos miembros del grupo, David Abondano y Manuela Ianni, son parte de las Jornadas Científicas sobre Arquitectura, Educación y Sociedad; organizadas por la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, del 23 al 25 de mayo de 2013. Presentan las comunicaciones de títulos "El Modelo Mecánico en la Arquitectura Moderna y en la Arquitectura Digital" y  "Performance-based design in architecture. Proyecto como sistema, complejidad y ordenador", respectivamente.

SEMANCO Workshop in La Salle, Barcelona

An interactive  workshop "Analysing and visualising energy related data in our buildings, towns and cities" of SEMANCO (one of our research projects co-funded by the European Union) was held in La Salle, Barcelona; on dates 11 and 12 April 2013. The objective of the workshop was to bring together professionals (and their projects) interested in the area of study of SEMANCO to identify cross- cutting issues and possible synergies. Thirty-eight participants and sixteen projects took part of this two day dissemination event.

VoCamp on energy enriched BIMs

ARC researchers take part on the Vocabulary Camp that is taking place in Brussels, 21-22 February 2013. This is the second VoCamp organized by the FP7 project Adapt4EE and it will be dedicated to enriching BIM models used during design phases for enhanced energy performance analysis and simulation.
